About Becky Selig

Becky is dedicated to helping you find the key to your perfect home. Born and raised in Crowley, Louisiana, Becky’s parents showed her the true meaning of helping and serving the people of Louisiana. Her father served as a Louisiana State Representative, opened the first Farm Bureau Insurance Company in Acadia Parish, helped many families in southwest Louisiana negotiate oil and gas drilling leases, and helped establish a successful banking system in Crowley and Baton Rouge.

After attending LSU, where she received a BS in Elementary Education and later an MEd in Administration with minors in Special Education and Early Childhood, she married a Baton Rouge native whose family has a long history of helping to shape Baton Rouge. His grandfather opened Rosenfield’s House of Fashion and helped to establish the Baton Rouge Better Business Bureau.

His grandmother’s family opened Kornmeyer’s Furniture Store, which remained open for 150 years. His mother helped to write and edit the first River Roads Cookbook for the Junior League of Baton Rouge. Becky has lived in Baton Rouge for over 40 years and has been a Real Estate Agent for over 18 years. She has one son, a daughter-in-law, and three beautiful grandchildren born and raised in Baton Rouge.

As a retired educator from the East Baton Rouge Parish School System and the Louisiana Department of Education, Becky has extensive knowledge about Baton Rouge and the state of Louisiana that can help you find the key to your perfect home or business adventure.
